Motiva Announces National Agreement Reached

A four-year labor agreement has been reached with USW at the national bargaining table.

Motiva Enterprises LLC announced today that a four-year labor agreement has been reached at the national bargaining table with the United Steelworkers (USW), the labor union that represents many of Motiva‚Äôs hourly employees at its refineries. 

Shell Oil Company, which owns 50 percent of Motiva, is the lead negotiator for the labor agreement which will be patterned by Motiva and others in the industry. The agreement was reached after eight weeks of negotiations, and union members are set to vote on the agreement in the coming days.  We look forward to all Motiva employees returning to work.

Specifically, the agreement set terms for a four-year agreement commencing February 1, 2015 through January 31, 2019 at Convent and Norco and February 21, 2015 to February 20, 2019 at Port Arthur.
