Dan Romasko, President and CEO

Dan Romasko

Dan Romasko was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Motiva Enterprises LLC, effective February 2014.

Prior to his current role, Dan was the Executive Vice President of Operations for Tesoro Corporation with accountability for the refining, marketing, logistics and marine organizations. In addition, he served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Tesoro Logistics LP. Before joining Tesoro, Dan held the positions of Vice President, Operations Integrity and Vice President, Technical Operations and Competence at Suncor Energy. Dan also worked for Petro-Canada as the General Manager of its Fort Hills syncrude operations, which merged with Suncor in 2009.

Dan began his career with ConocoPhillips, serving the company through leadership positions in mid-stream, supply and trading, global specialty products, and refining during his 20-year tenure.

He earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in chemical engineering from Montana State University.

Dan, his wife Yvette, and their children make their home in Houston. Sparked by prior board membership with Boys Town of Texas, Dan and Yvette are active supporters of children and education.

Georganne Hodges, Chief Financial Officer

Georganne Hodges was appointed Chief Financial Officer in August 2016.  Georganne brings 25 years of extensive industry experience across the energy value chain.

She most recently held the position of CFO with Spark Energy where she was responsible for corporate financial reporting, risk management, accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax and internal controls. During her time there, she successfully completed the company's initial public offering as well as several acquisitions.

Prior to joining Spark Energy, she served as CFO for Direct Energy's retail energy business from August 2009 to October 2012 and in various other senior financial roles from September 2003 to July 2009. She began her finance career in 1987 with Arthur Andersen, where she audited companies across the energy value chain.

Georganne holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Baylor University and is a licensed certified public accountant in the state of Texas. She holds memberships in the Houston Chapter of CPA's and the Women's Energy Network.

Travis Capps, Vice President, Strategy and Business Development

Travis Capps

J. Travis Capps was appointed Vice President of Strategy and Business Development Motiva Enterprises LLC in September 2013.

Travis began his career in the oil industry, joining Exxon in 1994 where he worked for six years in a variety of technical and operational assignments, beginning with an assignment as a process engineer for the Benicia Refinery in Benicia, California.  Prior to the refinery’s acquisition by Valero Energy Corporation in 2000, Travis led its Coordination and Economics group.

Upon joining Valero in 2000, Travis relocated to their corporate offices in San Antonio, Texas, where he progressed through a variety of leadership roles in engineering, commercial supply, and talent development for the company. As Vice President of Energy and Gases, he was responsible for the company’s energy efficiency activities, industrial gas production, procurement and sales, automation and advanced process control activities, and water usage and management efforts.

Travis received his Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama and his Master's of Business Administration from The University of Texas in San Antonio, Texas.  A native of Rutledge, Alabama, he resides in Houston, Texas.

Todd W. Fredin, Vice President, Supply, Trading and Logistics

Todd W. Fredin became Vice President of Supply, Trading and Logistics at Motiva Enterprises LLC in November 2013.

Prior to joining Motiva, he was Vice President of Saudi Aramco Products Trading Company, based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Before joining Aramco, Todd was with ConocoPhillips, where he last served as President, Europe, Africa and Middle East Commercial.  He joined Conoco in 1975 and held various positions in the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, with diverse assignments in refining, upstream, business development and trading.

Todd earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Minnesota. He resides in Houston, Texas.

Ed Haloulos, Vice President, Human Resources

Ed Haloulos was appointed Vice President of Human Resources in December 2015. His previous role was HR Manager for Motiva’s Corporate Center, Fuel Sales & Marketing, and Supply Trading & Logistics organizations. 

Ed has more than 28 years’ experience in human resources, including 18 years with Shell and Motiva and 10 years in the aerospace industry supporting global organizations and several joint ventures. He holds certifications from leading professional organizations in labor relations, compensation, mediation, and HR strategic business partnering. He also served as a U.S. delegate in an executive exchange program with China.

Ed has a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and completed graduate coursework at the University of Houston – Clear Lake.

Bill Spurgeon, Vice President, Fuel Sales and Marketing

Bill Spurgeon, Vice President, Fuel Sales and Marketing

Bill Spurgeon was appointed Vice President of Fuel Sales and Marketing for Motiva Enterprises LLC in June 2014. He is responsible for branded and unbranded fuel sales across Motiva’s geographic region. 

Bill began his career with Shell in 1988 as a purchasing representative. He held a number of positions of increasing responsibility in gasoline pricing, wholesale strategy and retail for Shell-branded products leading to the role of General Manager of Retail – West, with 3,000 Shell-branded stations in 11 states and $8 billion in revenue.

In 2008, Bill moved to London as General Manager Retail Portfolio & Alliances and was appointed to downstream strategy for global retail in 2009, responsible for 43,000 retail sites worldwide in more than 80 countries.

In October 2012, Bill was assigned as the shareholder representative for Showa Shell based in Tokyo, Japan before accepting his current role at Motiva in June 2014.

Christopher P. Vice, General Counsel and Secretary

Chris was appointed General Counsel and Secretary on January 31, 2011, after serving as Associate General Counsel for Aramco Services Company (ASC) in Houston, Texas.  

Chris began his legal career in 1986, following his graduation from Harvard Law School.  He completed a judicial clerkship at the United States Tax Court and practiced with a private firm before joining the Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco) in 1991.  

While at Saudi Aramco, Chris was heavily involved in numerous joint ventures, including the Saudi Aramco Shell Refinery Company (SASREF), which he served as Secretary, and Showa Shell.  Other aspects of Chris’ practice included the resolution of disputes under major EPC contracts.  

After almost 19 years at Saudi Aramco’s headquarters in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, Chris transferred to ASC in December 2009.  

Chris and his wife, Kristi, have two adult children. Chris enjoys fitness, cycling and outdoor sports.

Sabrina Cox, Director, Health, Safety, Security and Environment

Sabrina Cox was appointed Director of Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) at Motiva Enterprises LLC in October 2010. Sabrina has an extensive background in HSSE and operations with over 25 years of combined experience at Motiva, Shell, Star Enterprise and Texaco. She has held assignments of increasing responsibility within HSSE, and she has previously held supervisory positions in strategic planning, retail sales, and lubricants. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Penn State University, and she subsequently earned her Master’s of Business Administration degree from the University of Houston.

Brett Woltjen, General Manager, Norco Manufacturing Complex

Brett Woltjen

Brett Woltjen was appointed General Manager of the Norco Manufacturing Complex in January 2016.

Brett’s career spans nearly three decades, during which time he has established a strong track record in refinery operations and production management in Motiva and Shell. His most recent position was as Motiva’s General Manager, Refining Operational Efficiency.

He began his career with Shell as a plant engineer at the Deer Park Refinery and Chemical Plant 30 years ago. He has held a number of positions in increasing responsibility including Operations Manager at the Shell Oil Puget Sound Refinery, General Manager of Health, Safety, Security and Environmental for Shell Oil Global Manufacturing, and Production Manager of Motiva’s Port Arthur Refinery.

Brett has a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri – Columbia and an MBA in finance from the University of St. Thomas.

Gregory Lucchesi, General Manager, Port Arthur Refinery

Gregory Lucchesi, General Manager, Port Arthur Refinery

Gregory Lucchesi was appointed General Manager of the Port Arthur Refinery of Motiva Enterprises LLC in February 2015.

With more than 30 years of industry experience, Greg has established a strong track record in refinery operations, project management, and economics.  Most recently, he was the Refinery Manager for Phillips 66's Alliance Refinery located in Belle Chasse, Louisiana, which has a production capacity of 275,000 barrels per day.

Greg began his career as a Technical Service Engineer at Mobil's Ferndale Refinery in Washington. Through a series of promotions, he also held the roles of Maintenance Supervisor and Operations Supervisor at the site. Following the sale of Ferndale Refinery to BP, Greg moved to BP's commercial headquarters in Ohio, where he held a variety of commercial roles of increasing responsibility.

The sale of the Alliance Refinery by BP brought Greg to Phillips Petroleum, where he held several technical and operations leadership positions at various refineries in the ConocoPhillips network. His success in these roles led to his most recent position as Refinery Manager for the Phillips 66 Alliance Refinery.

Hugues Bourgogne, General Manager, Convent Refinery

Hugues Bourgogne was appointed General Manager of the Convent Refinery for Motiva Enterprises LLC in August 2016. Hugues began his career in 1992 as a process engineer with Shell France at the Berre Refinery and chemical complex and held positions of increasing responsibility in functional and operations roles for 11 years.

In 2003, Hugues moved to the US and became Production Unit Manager for ethylene oxide/glycols and site utilities at the Shell chemical plant in Geismar, Louisiana. He returned to Europe in 2007 as deal leader involved in the reorganization of Shell refining portfolio in Europe. 

In 2011, Hugues returned to the US as Production Manager for the Shell chemical plant in Deer Park, Texas. After four years at the Deer Park chemical plant, Hugues moved into major projects as Business Development Manager for Shell Manufacturing Americas and Project Executive in Singapore.

Hugues hold a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the Universite de Technologie de Compiegne, France and a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering from University of Houston, Texas.
